David Rych is an artist and filmmaker who engages with cultural, social, and political changes in his work. He explores various approaches in documentary filmmaking, particularly in the context of collective identities, personal and official narratives of history, and their visual representations.
His art projects and films have been exhibited internationally, including at the 7th Berlin Biennale, Manifesta 8, T-B A21 – Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, Museum of Contemporary Art in Leipzig, and at the Secession in Vienna.
David Rych holds a professorship at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and holds an associate professorship at the Art Academy at the University in Bergen.
